Plymouth Hoe

Our holiday apartments are ideal for holiday makers looking for modern accommodation with the freedom to explore Plymouth and its history.

Just a short walk from Hoe-side apartments you will find Plymouth Hoe with Smeaton’s Tower and the Citadel. You can stand where the Pilgrim Fathers stood before they embarked on the Mayflower. Where Drake and Raleigh and the Pilgrim Fathers all weighed anchor.

Plymouth Barbican

Visit Plymouth Barbican, only a short walk away from our holiday apartments. The National Marine Aquarium, then stroll around the Barbican’s specialty shops, craft workshops and art galleries.

Enjoy lunch or dinner overlooking the waterfront in one of the many cafes, restaurants or bars that line the harbour.

Plymouth City Centre

Drake Circus shopping mall is host to over 60 shops, including many of the UK’s top brand names. There are many restaurants and cafes in and around the shopping mall to enjoy lunch or a coffee break.

In and around the city centre there are a wide range of restaurants from fish restaurants to tapas bars, steak houses and pasta bars. Theatre Royal is one of the UK’s most successful theatres staging London shows, musicals and plays.

Leisure and Entertainment in Plymouth

Plymouth has a variety of theatres, cinemas, leisure centres, casinos, pubs and clubs in and around the city.

Head to the Barbican Leisure Centre for the multiplex cinema, ten pin bowling, restaurants, bars, fitness centre and nightclub.

Alternatively walk to Plymouth Pavillions lesiure centre which has a swimming pool and sports facilities. During the school holidays the pavillions has a children’s club.

Things to do near Plymouth

Hoe-side holiday apartments are ideally located near the centre of Plymouth allowing you to explore the surrounding Devon and Cornish beaches, beautiful coastline and river estuaries.

All the attractions are only minutes away from our apartments via ferry, car, coach or train. You can catch ferries to local beauty spots in both Cornwall and Devon. During the summer ferries run frequently everyday. Various sightseeing and cruises leave from the forshore.
